Neighboring
Call it outreach, evangelism, service, compassion, or generosity – it has many forms, but one heartbeat: we are called to love our neighbors as ourselves. Jesus expanded the definition of neighbor beyond the person who is familiar, with whom we share commonalities, or who is convenient. Jesus defined our neighbor as anyone who is before us, in need.
And we all know the reality is, everyone has needs. Whether it’s emotional, physical, relational, or spiritual – the opportunities to help are endless.
We live as compassionate neighbors by sharing the gospel, sharing our resources, sharing our time, and sharing our lives.
By the leadership of the Spirit, we live aware and open, hospitable and generous, everywhere and every day.
